romantic getaway Barrie
While Renaud and Sarah were in Montreal, Saturday, March 13, William and I decided not to stay in Toronto. A beautiful sun shone and we had the car.
"Google Map", then we identify Toronto, and the few sizeable towns located within a radius of 100 km: Hamilton, Whitby, Oshawa, Barrie, Peterborough, Kitchener ... there are not bad. We opted for Barrie.
Barrie is an Ontario town located 90 km north of Toronto, and whose population is 130 000 inhabitants.
On the shores of Lake Simcoe , Barrie attracts tourists with its beautiful beach and program special events with, among others, the festival Kempenfest, arts and crafts festival attracting over 300,000 people.
We spent a very pleasant day . It felt good the holiday . Barrie is a small town that we really liked, full of charms , and we will be happy to return to the heyday , for a picnic on the banks of lake, which was still frozen last week ...
